Pipkin is made by one person, Josh, in London. If something's wrong or you're stuck, email me. A real human reads it and replies.
I usually reply within a day or two. If you email from inside the app, it pre-fills your app version, iOS version and device model. Leave those in; they help me help you faster. Nothing you've logged about your child is ever included.
Common questions
Will free features ever move behind the paywall?
No. That's the pledge, dated and permanent. All tracking, the day timeline and summaries, growth charts, widgets, Live Activities, iCloud sync and CSV export stay free forever. Plus only ever gates new intelligence: predictions, pattern surfacing, full-resolution photo backup.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts, emails or passwords. Pipkin uses the iCloud you're already signed into, so there's nothing to get logged out of at 3 a.m.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Every entry saves to your phone first, in milliseconds, and syncs to iCloud when there's a connection. No spinner, no lost 3 a.m. feed.
Can my partner log too?
Yes. Invite a co-parent from Settings → Co-parent sharing with a QR scan or a private link. There's no second account, and one Plus subscription covers you both. You decide who's in and can remove access at any time. How shared data is handled is in the privacy policy.
What happens to my data if I cancel Plus or delete the app?
Cancel Plus and every log you made stays exactly where it is. Tracking keeps working, forever. Your data lives on your phone and in your own iCloud. Before deleting the app you can export everything to CSV (below); deleting the app removes the on-device copy, and iCloud-synced data can be removed from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Pipkin Plus is billed by Apple, not by me. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Is any AI involved?
No. Predictions are simple, auditable rules (age baselines blended with your child's own recent rhythm) computed on your phone, with the reasoning shown alongside. No chatbot near your child's data.
How do I get my data out?
Settings → Your data → Export everything as CSV. Two taps, opens in Numbers or Excel, and covers every event for every child. No request, no waiting, no tier.
