Website & Waitlist Privacy

This policy covers this website and the beta waitlist only. The Pipkin iOS app is covered by its own privacy policy. "We" means Forge 9 Labs LTD, the company behind Pipkin and the data controller for the waitlist. What we collect
If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter and a one-word tag recording where you arrived from (for example "x" or "reddit"), taken from the link you clicked. That tag involves no cookies and no tracking scripts; it's a plain form field. The website itself sets no analytics cookies and loads no third-party analytics scripts.
Website traffic statistics
Netlify hosts this website and provides Web Analytics from its server request logs. We use aggregate pageview, visitor, location and referral-source reports to understand how people find and use the site. Netlify uses IP addresses to distinguish visitors within a reporting period; these counts are not accounts or a list of identified people. There is no browser analytics script or analytics cookie, and these reports are not combined with the child data recorded in Pipkin. See how Netlify Web Analytics works and Netlify’s privacy policy.
Our current dashboard shows the latest 24 hours. We retain dated aggregate snapshots for historical traffic comparisons; these contain summary counts and reported sources, not individual IP addresses. The waitlist deletion period below applies to email records, not these aggregate statistics. Netlify’s own policy governs its underlying request logs.
App Store links
Our download links and Safari app banners include a shared campaign label identifying this website. Apple uses that label to report website-attributed downloads and purchases in App Store Connect. The label is the same for everyone; it contains no email address, child data or individual visitor identifier. This adds no website cookie or analytics script. Apple processes activity in the App Store under its privacy policy.
How we use waitlist emails
TestFlight beta invitations, updates on the beta, and the App Store launch announcement. A couple of emails a month at most. We will never sell the list, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond Pipkin.
Lawful basis for waitlist emails
Consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): you typed your email in and pressed the button. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by emailing us; we'll remove you promptly.
Who processes waitlist emails
Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify (our website host). To send emails we use an email service provider, where your address and source tag are stored until you unsubscribe. Both act as processors on our behalf.
How long we keep waitlist emails
Until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after the App Store launch, whichever comes first. After that the waitlist has done its job and will be deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing. Email hello@pipkin.app and it will be handled by Forge 9 Labs LTD. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
If the website ever starts collecting something new, this policy will be updated first. The effective date at the top always reflects the latest version.
